About Dr. Kisicki
I have been in K-12 education since 2001 with experience teaching and providing professional development in traditional, online, and hybrid environments. During this time, I was awarded the 2002 Sam’s Club Teacher of the Year by his colleagues, students, and parents. I was also nominated for several additional awards including 2013 AzTEA Teacher of the Year, 2013 Centennial Professor Award at Arizona State University (ASU), and 2002 Rookie Teacher of the Year for Deer Valley Unified School District. I have also been noticed for my work integrating technology with elementary school students - AZ K-12 Center Teaching with Technology.
In 2012, I completed my Ph.D. in Educational Technology from Arizona State University. At the time I was working towards this degree, the Educational Technology program at ASU was internationally recognized its quality - ASU Educational Technology Program Top-Rank for Productivity. My dissertation focused heavily on integrating technology in meaningful ways into university content courses. I supplied the training, coaching, and support for the participating university faculty so that they could use a variety of educational technologies with their graduate students. Along with my teaching responsibilities, I have been selected as the course coordinator for two courses, chaired or participated as a committee member for a number of search committees, reviewed articles for educational journals, and served as a judge for the AzTEA website awards. |
